2012 (Junior)

Poole again played in every game for the Pirates and started in 18 at goalkeeper in 2012. He recorded 110 saves and recorded a .786 save percentage with eight shutouts on the season. During week seven, Poole was named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting two shutouts against Centenary and Austin College helping the Pirates to a pair of wins. Poole posted an 8-5-2 record in the net as he tallied a season-high 13 saves in a 2-2 tie at Trinity.  

 

2011 (Sophomore)

Poole appeared in all 19 games for the Pirates both on the field and in goal. On the field, Poole recorded seven shots, one on goal. In the net, Poole started 3 games and logged 457 minutes. He allowed only 7 goals and recorded 21 saves for a team high .750 save percentage. Daniel was named to the SCAC All-Sportsmanship team. He was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll and voted Most Improved on the Southwestern team by his teammates. 

 

2010 (First-year)

Soccer: Poole appeared in 10 matches in his first season with the Pirates, logging 379 minutes between the posts. He allowed five goals for a 1.19 goals against average and recorded 14 saves with a .737 save percentage. Poole was member of the SCAC Fall 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.

Track: Even with a late start in the field program Poole made a statement. He set a new SU school record in the javelin at the SCAC Championships with a throw of 45.88m (150.5 feet) earning two points for the Pirates. He was also a member of the 4x100 relay that came in sixth with a season best time of 46.58, earning three points for the Pirates. Poole was selected as the SCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week twice this season, March 7-13 and March 21-27.

High School

A 2010 graduate from Shreveport, LA, Daniel lettered in soccer, baseball, swimming, and cross country.  A four year member of the varsity soccer team, Daniel was named to the 2009-2010 Academic All-State soccer team, two year team captain, three time selection to the All-District team, and District MVP his senior year. 

Personal

Daniel is the son of Martin and Susan and has one brother, Robert.  Daniel is majoring in biochemistry with a minor in computer science at SU.
